Soul Clap Fitness is the brainchild of Khalid Freeman. Khalid created Soul Clap Fitness because he saw there was a need in the market for something fresh and raw. He wanted to bring body percussion to the dance and fitness world while paying homage to the artists of the Oldies but Goodies…Nothing beats a classic. Using the classic music by artists such as Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, and James Brown to name a few, allows for a different and more soulful dance fitness class.
Although the music is the soul of the program, Khalid wanted to explore a new platform that would bring awareness and advancement of the stepping style, that he loves so much, would become the heart of Soul Clap Fitness. With stepping, it created the ability to challenge and engage the creative minds in each individual and creates endless combinations of sounds and movement that compliment each other.
Khalid Freeman is a world renown choreographer, dancer and artist with a variety of shows such as: Michael Jackson the Immortal world tour by Cirque Du Soleil, Stomp, Stomp the Yard, Stomp Out Loud, LXD, Young Americans, Molodi, 2015 European Games, Dancing with the Stars, X-Factor, Eminem, and many more.
